CROCK-POT APPLE BUTTER 3 qt. applesauce 6 c. sugar 1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. allspice 1/4 tsp. cloves Prepare applesauce. Pour in crock-pot. Add sugar. Turn control on high and cover until boiling. Start the pot at 4 p.m. and cook uncovered on high until 9:30 p.m. Stir occa- sionally while on high. Add the spices about an hour after starting pot. At 9:30 p.m., turn on low and let it simmer all night, uncovered. Does not need stirring while on low. In the morning, turn on high for about an hour. Then it is ready to put in hot jars and seal.
