KAHLUA 3 3/4 c. water 3 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. instant coffee 1/4 c. water 1/2 vanilla bean 1 fifth vodka Boil the 3 3/4 cups water and sugar for 7 minutes from the time it starts to boil. Mix the instant coffee with the 1/4 cup of water and bring to a boil and take off heat immedi- ately. Mix sugar mixture with coffee mixture and add vanilla bean. When cool, pour in gallon jug and add vodka. Put cap on jug and let stand for 2 weeks. Remove vanilla bean. Serve in half and half, coffee or chocolate milk.
