CUSTARD FRENCH TOAST

1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. milk
3 slightly beaten eggs
4 slices French bread, cut 1
inch

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, nutmeg and 1/2
teaspoon salt. Mix milk with eggs; add flour mixture and beat
until smooth. Pour into shallow pan; soak bread in egg mixture
15 minutes, turning carefully. Make sure both sides are
thoroughly soaked 15 minutes. Fry bread slowly on medium heat
on lightly greased griddle until brown. Turn once.
