GERMAN APPLE PANCAKE

Pancake:

3 large eggs
3/4 c. milk
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter

Filling:
1 lb. tart apples
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
cinnamon and nutmeg to taste

Beat pancake ingredients together until smooth. Preheat
oven to 450 degrees. Melt 1 1/2 tablespoons butter in heavy skillet.
Pour batter into skillet. Bake 15 minutes; lower oven to 350 degrees.
Bake 10 minutes. Saute apples in 1/4 cup butter, sugar,
cinnamon and nutmeg. Fold pancake over apples. Melt 2 table-
spoons butter; pour over top and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
