D'S FAMOUS ONION RINGS

1 can beer
flour
1 Tbsp. salt
large onions
shortening

Put beer into large bowl; add flour until batter is
thick enough to coat your finger. Add salt. Cut onions into
rings. Melt enough shortening in pan to deep fry them. Fry
only a few at a time, as they may stick together. Coat rings
with batter and fry. Place on a paper towel to absorb any
extra oil.
