GRAPE BUTTER

1 gal. grapes
1 peck apples
2 c. water
sugar

Pick and wash grapes and add the cup of water. Take 1
peck of apples; wash, peel and cut cores out and add to 1 cup
of water. Work all this separately through a sieve and measure
1 cup of fruit to 1 cup of sugar. Mix all together and cook
until thick. Put into jars (not necessary to be airtight).
