PEAR-PINEAPPLE BUTTER 4 c. grated pears (8 to 10 medium size pears) 2 c. sugar 2 to 3-inch pieces cinnamon 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple Combine pears, sugar and cinnamon in saucepan and boil 5 minutes, stirring often. Add pineapple and boil 30 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Fill hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch head space. Seal. Makes 2 1/2 pints.
