FIG PRESERVES 2 qt. figs 8 c. sugar 1/2 c. water 2 Tbsp. margarine 1 Tbsp. lemon juice Wash and stem figs. Crush figs. Put into deep pot. Add water, lemon juice and 1 box Sure-Jell. Cook over high heat 1 minute. Add sugar and margarine. Cook until a rolling boil. Cook 2 minutes. Put into jars and seal.
