ITALIAN BEEF FOR HOT SANDWICH 5 to 7 lb. rump roast drippings 2 c. boiling water 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 bay leaf 2 beef bouillon cubes 1 tsp. each following: dried marjoram, thyme and oregano 1/2 tsp. sweet basil 1 garlic clove, smashed salt and pepper 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped Roast rump roast to medium rare. When done, set aside. Cook all the rest of ingredients to a boil, then simmer 15 minutes. Slice beef thin and place in sauce. Serve warm on Italian bread as a sandwich or rolls.
