CROCK-POT APPLE BUTTER apples, peeled, cored and chopped fine 4 c. sugar 4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 1/4 tsp. salt Fill crock-pot with as many apples as possible. Drizzle sugar, spices and salt over top of apples. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Lower the heat and cook all day, until dark and thick. Stir occasionally all day. Put in small jars and freeze. Leave room for expansion.
