HOT BUTTERED CIDER

2 qt. (8 c.) apple cider
3 sticks cinnamon
1 tsp. whole cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. chopped candied ginger
butter balls
cinnamon sticks

Combine cider, spices and candied ginger in a saucepan;
bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
Strain to remove spices. Pour cider into mugs; top each with a
butter ball and cinnamon stick.
