BEEF BURGUNDY 1 1/2 lb. flank steak or sirloin freshly ground pepper 3 cloves garlic, minced 2 Tbsp. bacon grease or butter 1 medium onion, sliced thin 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 c. sour cream 2 Tbsp. flour 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated 1/2 c. red wine 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. basil 1/4 tsp. thyme 1/4 tsp. marjoram Cut steak in very thin slices across the grain while meat is partially frozen. Combine garlic, onions, mushrooms and wine. Add seasonings and cook in a covered dish for 5 minutes on High. Blend sour cream and flour and add to season- ing mixture and allow to cook for 5 to 8 minutes on 70% power. Set aside and cook steak in grease on High 3 to 4 minutes. Stir halfway through cooking. Add sauce mixture and cheese to beef and stir to blend. Cook 1 to 3 minutes longer on 70% power. Serve on noodles or rice.
