BAKED PEARS

2 fresh Bartlett pears
1/4 c. orange juice
1 to 2 Tbsp. raisins
1/4 tsp. grated orange peel
1 to 2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1/8 tsp. cinnamon

Cut pears in half lengthwise. Pierce inside of pears
with fork. Arrange cut side up in an 8 x 8-inch dish. In 2
cup measure combine orange juice, raisins, orange peel, corn-
starch, water and cinnamon. Microwave on High for 1 to 3
minutes until thick, stirring once or twice. Pour over pears.
Cover with wax paper. Microwave on High for 4 to 6 minutes or
until tender.
