1 c. semi-sweet chocolate
2 tsp. vegetable shortening
25 twisted pretzels
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

In mixing bowl, combine shortening and chocolate pieces.
Microwave on High for 1 minute: stir with spatula. Microwave
on High for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, until melted; stir until
smooth. Carefully remove chocolate from microwave oven. Place
sheet on waxed paper on flat surface. Dip each pretzel into
melted chocolate and place on waxed paper to set; immediately
after dipping, sprinkle nuts on top. Let pretzels stand at
room temperature until chocolate hardens, about 1 hour.
