MICROWAVE TURTLE SAUCE PIQUANTE 1 lb. turtle meat, cut up 1 c. chopped onions 1/2 c. chopped bell peppers 1/2 c. chopped celery 2 cloves garlic, chopped 1 (5 1/2 oz.) can mushroom steak sauce 1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel tomatoes 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce salt and pepper to taste 1 long green hot pepper, chopped 1/2 c. chopped green onions 1/4 c. chopped parsley 1/3 c. water Soak the clay simmer pot in cold tap water for 10 minutes. In bottom of clay simmer, combine all ingredients. Cover with water soaked lid of clay simmer pot. Microwave on High for 10 minutes. Stir and again cover with lid. Microwave on 50% power for 35 to 40 minutes or until meat is done. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Cooking time is 45 minutes. Utensil: clay simmer pot. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
