MUSHROOM MEAT LOAF

1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar sliced
mushrooms
milk
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
sauce
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. pepper
chili sauce (optional)

Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid. Add enough milk to
reserved liquid to measure 2/3 cup. Mix all ingredients except
chili sauce. Shape into 2 loaves. Place each loaf on a trivet
in a 1 1/2 quart ovenware glass dish. Cook in microwave oven
about 8 minutes for each loaf. After 4 minutes of cooking, add
chili sauce. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Total cooking time is 16 minutes. Recipe yields 4 to 6
servings.
Note: I make this dish without the chili sauce.
