MICROWAVE MACARONI AND CHEESE|
2 c. elbow macaroni
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. instant minced onion
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
Place in 2 quart microwave casserole dish; set aside. Place
butter in 4-cup measure. Cook on High 1 minute or until
melted. Stir in flour until blended. Pour milk into 2-cup
glass measure. Cook on "Roast" 2 minutes. Stir into flour-
butter mixture. Cook on High 5 to 6 minutes, or until thick-
ened, stirring frequently. Add salt and onion. Add cheese.
Stir until melted. Pour over macaroni; blend well. Serve
immediately. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
