1 lb. Italian sausage
1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 c. dry red wine
1/2 tsp. basil
16 oz. cottage cheese or
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1 egg, slightly beaten
8 uncooked lasagna noodles
8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1/4 tsp. pepper
Place sausage in plastic colander. Place colander over
bowl. Cover with paper towel. Cook on High 5 minutes. Place
meat in a bowl and break up with a fork. Add spaghetti sauce,
wine, garlic powder and basil. Stir and cook on High 7 to 8
minutes until bubbly.
In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan,
parsley, egg and pepper. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, if desired.
Spoon 1/3 meat sauce into 8 x 12-inch casserole. Arrange 4
noodles on top. Spread 1/2 cheese mix on top of noodles. Add
1/2 Mozzarella on top. Repeat, ending with sauce. Cover with
plastic wrap. Cook on High 6 minutes, then cook on Medium 20
minutes. Let rest 15 minutes, covered, before serving. Serves
