BOB'S STRAWBERRY-RHUBARB PIE

1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
1 lb. rhubarb, cut into
1/2-inch pieces
1 pt. strawberries, hulled
1 prebaked homemade pie shell

Cooking time: total 5 1/2 to 7 minutes.
Combine sugar, cornstarch and water in large microproof
bowl. Stir until cornstarch is dissolved. Cook on High 2 1/2
to 3 minutes or until mixture is clear, stirring once during
cooking time. Add rhubarb and strawberries. Stir. Cook on
High 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce begins to thicken. Stir.
Continue to cook on High 1 minute or just until sauce is
thickened. Let stand 5 minutes. Pour into pie shell and cool
to room temperature.
