2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened
1/4 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. nuts

In 3 quart bowl stir together sugar, salt and milk; mix
well. Then add chocolate and butter. Cover (Saran Wrap).
Microwave High 6 minutes until hot and bubbly. Stir very well.
Microwave on Medium-high (70) for 10 to 14 minutes, uncovered.
Usually done around 10 to 11 minutes depending on your micro-
wave. Stir very well every 5 minutes. When sufficiently
cooked a few drops will form a soft ball when dropped in cold
water (candy thermometer 235 degrees). Let stand until lukewarm. Add
2 teaspoons vanilla. Beat until it begins to thicken and loses
its gloss. Quickly stir in 1/4 cup nuts. Pour into buttered 8
x 4 x 3-inch dish. Tastes just like old fashion fudge!
