1/3 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in a deep 1 quart
heat-resistant, nonmetallic casserole. Gradually add milk,
stirring constantly. Heat, uncovered, on Roast for 10 minutes,
stirring occasionally. Allow to cook just until mixture begins
to boil. Stir in vanilla. Chill. Serve topped with fresh
fruit or whipped cream. Makes 5 to 6 servings.
