S'MORE PIE 1 1/4 c. fine graham cracker crumbs 1/4 c. sugar 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted 1 pkg. vanilla pudding mix (3 or 3 1/4 oz.) 2 c. milk 2 egg yolks 1 c. tiny marshmallows 3 milk chocolate candy bars, broken in pieces (3/4) 2 egg whites 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 1/4 c. sugar Combine crumbs, the first 1/4 cup sugar and the butter; mix well. Press firmly on bottom and sides of 9-inch pie plate. Bake in 375 degrees oven 6 to 8 minutes, until edges brown; cool. Combine milk and egg yolks, gradually add to pudding mix in pan. Cook according to package directions. Cover surface of pudding with wax paper; cool. Place marshmallows over crust; top with chocolate pieces; spoon cooled pudding evenly over chocolate. Beat egg whites with vanilla and cream of tartar to soft peaks. Gradually add the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, beating to stiff peaks. Spread atop pie sealing to edges of crust. Bake in 375 degrees oven for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Cool thoroughly before serving.
