BURGER-MAC AND CHEESE CASSEROLE

1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 lb. ground chuck
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. milk
1 pkg. macaroni and cheese
dinner
salt, pepper, garlic powder as
desired

Prepare macaroni and cheese dinner according to package
directions. Saute onions in butter; add ground chuck and
brown. Drain excess fat. Stir in mushroom soup and milk.
Season with salt (optional), pepper and garlic powder. Butter
a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Layer meat mixture, noodles,
meat, noodles and meat in casserole. Bake in preheated 350 degrees
oven for 30 minutes or in a microwave on High for 8 to 10
minutes. Serve with hot vegetables or salad.
