1 c. peanuts, raw or salted
(no skins)
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1 Tbsp. oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt if peanuts are
raw (omit salt if peanuts
are already salted)

Stir together in 8 cup measuring container all of the
ingredients. Only add peanuts if raw for entire 8 minutes. If
peanuts are salted, add after 4 minutes and stir in. Continue
for another 4 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon oleo and 1 teaspoon
vanilla. Stir and cook 1 to 2 additional minutes. Peanuts
turn light brown and syrup is hot. Add 1 teaspoon baking soda
and stir fast until foamy. Spread onto lightly greased jelly
roll pan. Try and spread thin and let harden.
