MICROWAVE FROSTED OATMEAL SQUARES

2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. firmly packed brown
sugar
1/2 c. soft margarine
1/4 c. white corn syrup
3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
morsels
6 Tbsp. peanut butter

In a 2 quart flat glass baking dish mix oats, margarine,
brown sugar and syrup thoroughly. Pat evenly on bottom of
dish. Microwave 3 1/2 to 4 minutes on Medium-High until bubbly
over entire top. Cool. Melt chocolate morsels and peanut
butter in a 2 cup glass measure and microwave 1 minute on High.
Stir halfway through cooking time. Blend and spread on top of
oatmeal mixture. Store in refrigerator. The squares will seem
hard to cut, but will soften at room temperature after a few
minutes. Cut into 24 squares. (Approximate time: 5 minutes.)
