MICROWAVE FROSTED OATMEAL SQUARES 2 c. quick cooking rolled oats 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 c. soft margarine 1/4 c. white corn syrup 3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels 6 Tbsp. peanut butter In a 2 quart flat glass baking dish mix oats, margarine, brown sugar and syrup thoroughly. Pat evenly on bottom of dish. Microwave 3 1/2 to 4 minutes on Medium-High until bubbly over entire top. Cool. Melt chocolate morsels and peanut butter in a 2 cup glass measure and microwave 1 minute on High. Stir halfway through cooking time. Blend and spread on top of oatmeal mixture. Store in refrigerator. The squares will seem hard to cut, but will soften at room temperature after a few minutes. Cut into 24 squares. (Approximate time: 5 minutes.)
