MICROWAVE PEANUT BRITTLE

1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 c. peanuts
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

In a 2 quart bowl combine sugar and corn syrup. Cook
for 4 minutes at High. Stir in 1 cup peanuts and cook for 4
more minutes on High. Mix in margarine and vanilla and cool
about 2 more minutes on High (should be a gold brown color).
Stir in baking soda and pour mixture onto flexible metal pan.
When this is cool, break into small pieces. (Total time: 10
minutes.)
