ROLLED FLANK STEAK FOR MICROWAVE

1 c. sliced mushrooms
1 small onion, sliced
1 Tbsp. margarine
1 c. packaged herb-seasoned
stuffing mix
1/4 to 1/2 c. water
1 (about 1 1/2 lb.) flank
steak
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Combine mushrooms, onion and margarine in 4 cup micro-
wave-safe measure. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave vegeta-
bles at full power for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until tender. Mix in
stuffing mix and enough of the water to moisten stuffing mix;
set aside. Pound flank steak on both sides with meat mallet.
Combine tomato sauce, Worcestershire, salt and garlic power in
small cup. Spoon 1/4 cup over flank steak. Place stuffing
down center of steak. Roll up steak to enclose stuffing, secure
with string or wooden picks. Place roll, seam side down, in 12
x 8-inch microwave baking dish. Pour 1/2 cup of the tomato
sauce mixture over steak. Cover with plastic wrap; vent at one
corner. Microwave at full power for 5 minutes until mixture
boils. Microwave at 30% power for 25 to 30 minutes until
tender. Remove string or picks, stir the remaining tomato
sauce into liquids in dish, then spoon over steak.
