HOT FUDGE SUNDAE CAKE

1 c. flour (all-purpose)
3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix the flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder
and the salt in a 3-quart microproof casserole. Stir in the
milk, oil and vanilla until smooth. Stir in the nuts. Sprin-
kle with brown sugar and the 1/4 cup cocoa. Heat the water in
a microwave cup, uncovered, on High until the water boils.
Pour over the batter. Microwave on High, uncovered, rotating
casserole 1/4 turn every 3 minutes until the cake is set, but
still glossy, 9 to 10 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice
cream, if desired. Makes 9 servings.
