MICROWAVE CHILI CON CARNE

1 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lb. ground beef
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/3 c. catsup
1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans,
drained
1/2 tsp. chili powder**
dash of cayenne pepper
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt

**Increase or decrease as desired.
Place onion, green pepper and oil in 2-quart casserole.
Cook in microwave for 4 to 5 minutes or until onion and green
pepper are tender. Add ground beef. Cook in microwave on Full
Power for 4 to 5 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Stir
halfway through cooking time. Blend in remaining ingredients.
Cook in microwave on Full Power 10 minutes or until heated
through. Stir halfway through cooking time. Remove bay leaf.
Serve. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
