MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. Karo syrup
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
5 qt. popped corn

Combine butter, brown sugar, Karo syrup and salt in a
microwave safe bowl. Bring to a boil on High setting. When it
begins to boil, cook on High 2 more minutes, stirring occasion-
ally. Remove and stir in soda until frothy. Put popped corn
in a large brown grocery bag. Pour syrup over corn in bag;
close and shake well. Put bag in the microwave and cook on
High 1 1/2 minutes. Take out; shake and repeat 3 or 4 times.
Spread on a cookie sheet to cool.
