MICROWAVE PECAN PIE

egg yolk
1 1/2 c. pecan halves
3 whole eggs plus extra egg
white
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. dark corn syrup
1/4 c. butter
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1 Tbsp. flour

Take a frozen deep dish pie crust and place in glass pie
plate. Microwave until softened, then press firmly into plate.
Brush inside of shell with mixture of egg yolk and 2 table-
spoons corn syrup. Microwave at High for 5 to 7 minutes.
Place butter in large glass bowl. Microwave until melted.
Beat eggs into melted butter. Blend in syrup, sugar, flour and
vanilla. Add pecans and pour into crust. Microwave at Medium
(50%) for 12 to 15 minutes, rotating half turn after 5 minutes.
When done, top surface is dry and puffed.
