NONA'S ITALIAN SAUSAGE 1 1/2 lb. Italian sausage links, cut into 1 1/4-inch pieces 3 medium potatoes, cut into small chunks 1 clove garlic, finely chopped 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 3 medium green peppers, cut into chunks 3 medium onions, cut into chunks 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground oregano 1/4 tsp. pepper Set microwave power to High. In 3 quart casserole dish, combine sausage, potatoes and garlic. Heat covered for 9 to 11 minutes or until sausage is almost cooked, stirring once. Drain; stir in remaining ingredients and heat covered 9 to 11 minutes** or until vegetables are tender, stirring twice. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving. Serves 6. **If desired, add an additional 8 ounces tomato sauce.
