CARAMEL CORN 1 stick margarine 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. light corn syrup 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 to 2 poppers, popped corn (unpopped kernels removed) peanuts (optional) Cook for 2 minutes on High power. Stir, then cook 2 minutes longer. (Watch so it doesn't burn.) Remove from oven. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Put popped corn in a large paper bag. Pour mixture over corn and shake well. Microwave on High for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove and shake. Cook for another 1 1/2 minutes. Remove and shake. Microwave for 30 seconds. Remove and shake. Microwave another 30 seconds. Remove and shake until cooked.
