FUDGE NUT PIE|
1 (9-inch) deep dish pie shell
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 c. margarine
3/4 c. pecan halves
2/3 c. sugar
Place pie crust in 9-inch glass pie plate. Prick pastry
all over with fork. Microwave on High 4 to 7 minutes, rotating
dish 1/2 turn after 3 minutes, until crust looks dry with a few
moist spots. In a 1 1/2 quart bowl, microwave chips and
margarine on Medium-high 1 1/2 to 3 minutes until chips look
soft and glossy and margarine is melted; stir until smooth.
Chop pecans coarsely. Reserve 8 for garnish. Add pecans,
sugar and eggs. Pour into pie shell. Microwave on Medium for
4 minutes. Stir filling, being careful not to disturb crust.
Increase power to Medium-high, microwave 4 to 6 minutes rotat-
ing dish 1/4 turn every 2 minutes. Filling will still be soft
and bubbling in center. Let stand 20 minutes. Garnish with
reserved pecan halves. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
Cooked in 650 watt oven.
