NUT YUMMIES

1 lb. vanilla confectioners or
candy coating
1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 c. salted peanuts
3/4 lb. chocolate candy
coating

If vanilla candy coating is in solid piece, break into
squares. Place in single layer in 2-quart casserole. Micro-
wave at 50% (Medium) 3 to 5 minutes or until soft, stirring
after 3 minutes. Stir in milk and peanuts. Drop by rounded
measuring teaspoonfuls onto wax paper, flattening each to 1/4
to 1/2-inch, if necessary. Let stand until firm. Break
chocolate candy coating into squares; place in small mixing
bowl. Microwave as directed for white candy coating. If too
thick, add 1 tablespoon shortening. Dip each piece candy into
chocolate coating to cover completely, using 1 or 2 forks. Let
stand on wax paper until firm.
Note: One cup chocolate chips may be substituted. Melt
with 2 tablespoons shortening.
