3/4 c. buttermilk
2 c. pecan halves
2 Tbsp. butter
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla butter and not
Mix together the buttermilk, nuts, butter, sugar and
salt in a 2 quart bowl. Cook on High for 12 minutes. Stir in
baking soda. Stir until foamy. Cook for another minute on
High. Add vanilla, butter and not extract. Stir until tacky,
about 8 to 10 minutes. Drop by teaspoons onto buttered wax
paper. Yield: 24 pieces.
