5 qt. popped corn
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. Karo syrup
1/2 tsp. soda
brown paper bag
Pop your popcorn in popper. Measure out 5 quarts and
put in brown bag; set aside. In saucepan, combine brown sugar,
butter and syrup. Boil over medium heat for 4 minutes. Remove
from heat and add 1/2 teaspoon soda. Pour caramel mixture over
corn. Stir slightly. Fold over top of bag and place in
microwave oven. Cook 1 1/2 minutes on High. Take out and
shake. Cook another 1 1/2 minutes on High. Take out and
shake. Cook an additional 30 seconds on High. Take out and
shake. Pour out on cookie sheet and let cool. Keeps well in
