1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
In a 1 quart glass bowl, stir sugar and cornstarch
together. Gradually add enough of the milk to make a smooth
paste. Stir in remainder of the milk. Microwave, uncovered,
on Cook for 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 minutes, until sauce is bubbly and
thickened, stirring twice. Stir in butter and vanilla. Serve
warm or chilled. Can be served over cake or fruit.
