1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2/3 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. diced celery
1/4 c. diced green pepper
1/2 c. ketchup
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
In 1 1/2-quart casserole crumble beef. Add onion,
celery and green pepper. Cover; microwave at 10 for 6 min-
utes; drain well. To cooked meat mixture, add ketchup,
Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Cover. Microwave at 10
for 5 to 6 minutes until hot. To serve, stir, then spoon onto
buns or crusty French rolls. Makes 6 to 8 sandwiches.
Sloppy Joes with cheese: Add 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded
Cheddar cheese to meat mixture along with ketchup.
