3 qt. popped popcorn
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick margarine
1/4 c. Karo syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. soda
Place popped popcorn in a greased brown paper grocery
bag. Set aside. Mix brown sugar, margarine, syrup and vanilla
in a bowl. Place bowl in microwave and cook 2 minutes on High.
Take out, stir and cook 2 more minutes on High. Take out bowl
and add soda. Stir well. Pour over popcorn in bag; shake
well. Place bag in microwave for 2 minutes on High. Take out
and shake well. Place bag back in microwave for 2 more min-
utes. Shake well. Place bag back in microwave for 45 seconds.
Take out; shake well. Spread caramel popcorn on flat surface
to cool. Store in airtight container.
