CARAMEL CORN

1 stick margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. unpopped popcorn

Microwave margarine, sugar, syrup and salt until it
comes to a boil. Time it for 4 minutes. Remove from microwave
and add baking soda and vanilla. Mix thoroughly and pour over
popped corn in a large paper bag. Stir with wooden spoon.
Place back in microwave and cook on High for 1 1/2 minutes.
Shake bag real good and cook 15 seconds more on High. Spread
out on cookie sheet and let dry.
