1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. (1/4 lb.) butter,
3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. chopped nuts
Note: 1 package (6 ounce) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
or 1 cup flaked coconut may be substituted for nuts.
In small bowl at medium speed on mixer, beat together
eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla, about 1 minute until light. Add
melted butter. Continue beating until thoroughly blended. Mix
in flour and cocoa at low speed. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly
in greased 8-inch square dish. Microwave at High 6 to
8 minutes, rotating dish 1/4 turn every 2 minutes. When done,
top looks dry and will spring back when lightly touched. Cut
