MICROWAVE CARAMEL POPCORN

1/3 to 1/2 grocery bag popped
corn
1 lb. brown sugar
2 sticks (1 c.) margarine
1/2 c. white corn syrup
(pancake syrup also works)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Spray grocery bag with Pam real good on bottom and
sides. Melt brown sugar, margarine, syrup and salt in micro-
wave 4 minutes on High. Stir well then put back in microwave
for 3 to 4 minutes longer. Add soda. Stir well and pour over
popcorn in paper bag. Stir or shake well. Fold bag down and
put back in microwave on High for 1 1/2 minutes. Take out,
stir or shake well then microwave on High for another 1 1/2
minutes. Spread 3 sheets of wax paper on table and spread hot
popcorn on it to cool.
