CINNAMON RAISIN OATMEAL

1 1/4 c. water
2/3 c. oats, quick or
old-fashioned
2 Tbsp. firmly packed brown
sugar
2 Tbsp. chopped nuts
2 Tbsp. raisins or chopped
dates
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cinnamon

Combine all ingredients in 1 1/2-quart glass bowl; mix
well. Cook quick oats in microwave on High for 3 minutes.
Cook old-fashioned oats on High about 4 minutes or until
thickened, stirring often every minute of cooking. Cover; let
stand 2 to 3 minutes before serving. Makes 2 generous serv-
ings.
