MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN|
4 qt. popped corn
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick margarine
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
Combine brown sugar, margarine, syrup and salt in a
2-quart dish. Place in microwave and bring to a boil; then
cook on High 2 minutes. Remove and stir in baking soda. Mix
well. Put popped corn in heavy brown grocery bag. Pour syrup
over corn. Shake to mix and coat corn. Close bag, turning
down bag. Cook in bag on High 1 to 1 1/2 minutes; shake and
cook another 1 1/2 minutes. Pour in shallow pan. Cool and
break apart. Store in closed container.
