MEAT LOAF MILANESE WITH TOMATO-BASIL (Microwave) 1 lb. small red potatoes, halved 1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen Italian green beans 1 small onion, chopped 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. dried bread crumbs 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. browning sauce 1 egg, slightly beaten dry red wine basil 1 (14 1/2 to 16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped 1 tsp. sugar 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley 1 tsp. grated lemon peel Cook potatoes, frozen green beans and 1/4 cup water, covered, on High 12 minutes; stir once. Drain; let stand, covered. In 2 1/2-quart bowl, cook onion, celery, lemon juice, covered, on High 3 minutes. Stir in beef, bread crumbs, salt, browning sauce and egg; also 1/2 cup wine, 1/2 teaspoon basil. In 12 x 8-inch dish, shape into 8 x 4-inch loaf. Cook, covered with waxed paper, on Medium-High (70% power) 15 to 16 minutes, rotating dish half turn halfway through cooking. Let stand, covered. In bowl, cook tomatoes with their liquid, sugar, 2 tablespoons wine and 1/2 teaspoon basil, covered, on High 5 minutes. Sprinkle meat loaf with parsley and lemon peel. Serve with potatoes, beans and sauce. Makes 6 main dish servings. About 370 calories per serving.
