3 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2/3 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
2 egg whites
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
In 8 cup measure, microcook sugar, syrup and water 17
minutes (should be fine thread stage). Add salt to egg whites
and beat them on high speed until stiff. Slowly pour syrup in
a thin stream into the egg whites. Beating constantly until
mixture loses its shine and thickens. Stir in vanilla and nuts
and drop by teaspoons on waxed paper. Makes 30 pieces.
