4 large baking apples
1/3 c. dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
4 Tbsp. butter
1/4 c. apple juice (optional)
Core apples, but leave a small piece of the core at-
tached at the base of the apple so the filling will not run
out. Arrange apples in an 8-inch glass baking dish. Fill
apples with brown sguar. Dust top of apples with spices.
Place 1 tablespoon on top of each apple. Cover. Microwave 9 to
13 minutes or until apples are tender. Let stand, covered, 5
minutes before serving.
