CARAMEL APPLES 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramel candy 1 Tbsp. water 2 tsp. butter, softened 1/2 c. chopped nuts 6 small apples, stuck with wooden sticks Unwrap candies and combine with water in a 1 1/2 quart glass mixing bowl. Microwave, uncovered, for 5 to 6 1/2 minutes or until melted. Stir. Spread softened butter on a sheet of wax paper. Sprinkle wax paper with nuts. Dip apple into melted caramel, turning to coat, then place on wax paper, turning to cover with nuts. Let stand 10 minutes to harden.
