1/4 c. butter 2 Tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 3 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 lb. fresh asparagus spears Melt butter in skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in olive oil, salt and pepper. Cook the garlic in butter for a minute but do not brown. Add asparagus and cook for around 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
